Students in fourth grade should plan on having about 40 minutes of
WRITTEN homework each night.
Please be aware, however, there will be other homework as well. This
includes assignments such as studying for weekly tests, special projects,
and independent reading. The time allowed for these assignments are
not factored in to the forty minutes of written homework.
If your child is frequently coming home with
more than 40 minutes of WRITTEN work, PLEASE LET ME KNOW
and we will work on fixing that! I truly respect the fact that students
need to have their down time just like you and I.
